Mitsubishi F1M "Pete"


Originally designed as a catapult launched reconnaissance float plane the F1M proved to be very versatile, performing such roles as area-defense fighter, convoy escort, bomber, anti-submarine attack, ocean patrol, rescue and even transport. The type saw dogfights in the Aleutians, the Solomons and several other theaters.
