   MAY 10, 2004 - I stopped by the Texas Airplane Factory again to see the progress of the Oscar’s being fabricated. The #1 plane is on its gear with the engine and propeller installed.   Click on picture to enlarge, some pop-up blockers might prevent this
Click on picture to enlarge, some pop-up blockers might prevent this   Exhaust stacks have been fitted and cowl flaps have been mounted. It’s had some primer applied in a camouflage scheme on most of the top surfaces of the plane. The paint really brings the airplane to life instead of just
looking like an aluminum model as it did before. The canopy glass has been formed and installed.
   The instrument panel is almost complete and the last bit of fitting and adjusting on small components is being done. The airplane looks fantastic and is in its final stages of assembly.   Click on picture to enlarge, some pop-up blockers might prevent this

It is possible that it may see a few airshows this fall. Work is continuing on wing #2 for the second Oscar. The following 3 aircraft should come
together much quicker than the first one.
This will be a “must see” warbird!
