All 147 of the Luftwaffe's F-4Fs have received the ICE (Improved Combat Efficiency) upgrade. This upgrade consists of:
MILSTD 1553B Digital Data Bus
Hughes APG-65 Radar (same as F/A-18)
Honeywell H-423 laser inertial gyro autonomous navigation system
GEC CPU-143/A Digital Air computer which is linked to the 1553B data bus

Squadron Information
F-4F's are currently used by the following squadrons:
Jagdgeshwader 71 (JG 71) "Richthofen"
Jagdgeshwader 72 (JG 72)
Jagdgeshwader 74 (JG 74) "Molders"
Jagdgeshwader 75 (JG 75)

Additional Information
With the ICE upgrade, the F-4F is due to remain in Luftwaffe service until at least 2005.
The Luftwaffe maintains a squadron with the United States Air Force's 49th Fighter Wing at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. The 10 F-4E's air kept there for training purposes and to train new crews without having the severe airspace restrictions that are present in Germany.
11-12 F-4F's as well as Tornado's deploy to CFB Goose Bay, Canada every year for low-level flight and weapons training.

Thanks to Troy Quigley for his help with the Avionics and Squadron data
