SUPERMARINE SEAGULL
[Source: Public Domain]
The Supermarine Seagull was a British Royal Navy amphibious flying boat, the last to be built by the Supermarine company. Design started during the Second World War but it did not fly until 1948. With the introduction of helicopters taking up some of the roles of the small flying boat, the project was cancelled before being adopted for service. Only two protorypes were completed, while one remained unfinished.
